Illinois bed and breakfasts

The house was wonderful. It had everything we needed & more. It was clean & comfortable and felt like home. The property owner was very friendly, easy to communitcate with, and very responsive. She left homemade treats & supplied other complimentary gifts. The house was located in a prime area for us to drive to the local wineries on the Shawnee Wine Trail and hiking the Little Grand Canyon.

Kate is a wonderful host! She had breakfast ready for us every day! She even accommodated my gluten-free girlfriend. This is a wonderful house in walking distance from anything downtown. It is also far enough off of.main st that it is quiet. We will definitely stay here again!

We stayed Saturday night through Monday night and viewed the Eclipse on Monday 4/8/2024. The manor was great with lots of space and many collectables to admire. Frederick was a great host and gave us lots of information on the area. We visited the National Cemetery and local museum as well as walked the levy overlooking the Ohio River between the old shipyard to the granaries. The whole crew thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

Very comfortable and friendly stay

We stayed at the Federal House over New Year’s Eve and Day. We just loved it. Kate was great and easily reached. The house was historic and decked out for the holidays. The walk to Galena’s Main Street was short but scenic. The chef, Gabby, made excellent breakfasts. We would definitely recommend the Federal House to you.

Our family of 4 enjoyed our short stay here. Great location that has everything you need a walking distance away. Jon was great to communicate with.

Great location, close to Credit Union 1 amphlitheater and walking distance to a good breakfast spot. Quiet neighborhood and clean apartment. Perfect space for a girls’ getaway.

It’s nice to find a place with limited stairs. Only a few to get to the one level unit.
