Excellent location in San Diego...perfect spot to enjoy the cool ocean breeze and close to food and drink and away from the hustle and bustle of the city! Close to ballparks and city parks and beaches for hiking! Kent our host was awesome and helpful!

Highly recommend this place for a young fun place to go out and party. We had a girls night out here and had so much fun and the hotel was beautiful and clean. Would probably find somewhere a little quieter if you are a family looking for a quiet, chill place to stay :)

Lovingly decorated and equipped with what we needed. The host was very responsive to communications. We are looking forward to a return stay.

Beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, roomy closets, nice kitchen and bathrooms. Good location for walking to Balboa Park and all around Park West.

As stated in other reviews, the apartment is well maintained and sparkling clean. It is obvious the owner, who lives upstairs, is well invested in their guest’s experience. Although this is a basement apartment, there is plenty of natural light. There are no stairs to the apartment, which may be a plus to any older folks, such as myself.Communication with the owner was excellent.

As advertised, although I felt more spacious than expected - especially for two. Nice quiet spot with an excellent patio overlooking city which catches morning sun. A little harder to navigate the stairs down with 10' longboards but manageable. Street parking not perfect but always seemed available. Owners very pleasant and clearly want to make sure you have what you need! We walked to dinner one night without trouble as they are pretty close to a main street with ample restaurants and it was nice to get the burger moving through with the walk up the hill!

The property is just wonderful. The property is very comfortable. My son is in the Navy in San Diego. He wanted some home cooking. I made a casserole. The kitchen was stocked with all of the pots and pans that I needed. The only issue that we had was locating the entrance to the property. The entrance is in alley with a different number on the gate. I received my welcome packet on the day of our arrival. We had been traveling from Upstate NY all day. So we had the Vrbo address. Also, with it being dark outside, it was difficult to recognize the house from the pics that were posted on Vrbo. To be fair the host did mention the alley entrance with the different house number on the gate. After traveling all day , we just found that all very confusing. However, again, after we figured out the entrance, we had no other problems with the property. We enjoyed out stay there and would stay again if with visited San Diego again.

Cynthia was lovely and super helpful. The cottage was cozy and comfortable and i slept well. I was in for family weekend at SDSU and it’s a 14 minute drive which was perfect. I would definitely stay here again.
